I'm glad he stopped answering you because you make so little sense.
He is interested in MS' games but they are not allowing him to because they dip into what he considers to be unacceptably bad practices. The guy says to have spent thousands of dollars in xbox games and I would be ready to believe him. If that were the case, then I understand him being upset about the situation given that he actually WANTS to buy the games but he can't as it goes against his principles.
I'm pretty sure he's aware that he can boycott, which he is doing, but it doesn't change the fact that, to him, MS has the option to not go anti-consumerist and allow him to buy the games they make that he enjoys. That's what he means by basic consumer right, the right to have ownership of the content you purchase. They are not letting him have that basic right though he wants to buy their games.

You're the one making little sense.
He still has the option to play and enjoy Xbox One games. But if going digital is a deal breaker for him, too bad.
MS meeting his needs is not his basic consumer right.

nope
It is disingenuous of a company to claim that they are selling a game to you which, in reality, they are only loaning to you. You can think it's just his preference, but you have no knowledge of consumer rights. It's also your choice to pay for a product that is marketted by false advertisement that doesn't make it good.
Since there has been so much hate lately I have sided with Microsoft, but don't come tell me that the guy is in the wrong to call DRM anti-consumerist.
