The problem with your number is that you are not taking in account of the eSRAM(very low latency) which has a higher bandwidth than the gimp one in the 7770 on top of other possible enhancements and that the DDR3 has a lower latency than GDDR5. I'm just trying to be fair. :P


I am actually, but I'm also taking into account enchancements implemented in PS4's GPU that Cerny talked about. That's why I'm comparing vanilla 7850 and 7770, though both PS4 and XOne have better GPUs in reality.

Not that it will matter for the most part, except for few exclusives - as someone mentioned before, people have problems seeing difference between next and current gen (which is quite...amusing), though there is 8-12x difference in raw proccesing power between them.


It's probably because they are still using current gen assets and are just slapping better lighting and resolution with better DoF on them for the most part, PC gamers have had to suffer that kind of BS for awhile now. Hopefully things will finally get pushed forward at least, the problem I see right now is that even though publishers keep saying dev cost won't go up, I'm sure it will once the assets become a lot bigger in scale in general, I wonder how many companies will go out of business during the 8th gen trying to make 8th gen AAA games.

I do think the Xbox One is shit, but it's not because of hardware abilities, and PS4 is heading into that direction as well, most people are just okay with it because Xbox One looks so fucking bad right now that the flaws of PS4 is not as apparent. I don't want people to get clouded by hate when we are talking about tech related stuff, that's for sure. Services on the other hand, jebus fuck..... I don't know what MS is thinking these days, they are bat shit insane.
