| kupomogli said: Actually. Disregard my last comment saying no. Even though Metroid and Kirby sell the least of all Nintendo properties they probably push more systems than a Mario game would. As I've said before, Mario games don't really sell consoles. People buy them because they're on the system. Metroid, Kirby, and Zelda titles rarely come along and while not selling a lot, these games are actually system sellers. These games would push fans of the series to atleast buy the console. Even if they don't sell much, they get those die hard fans to buy the games. That gets more consoles which gets Mario to make more random sales here and there. |
You are kidding right?
A game from a series that sells about 2 Million on a good day isn't going to push more systems than a game that sells 6 Million on a bad day. It just isn't happening. I don't believe in the term "system seller" as no single game ever really sells a crap load of systems. That is why when people say NSMBU failed to push systems like NSMBW I don't know what to say...games sell systems together. It takes a combination of games. Of course, a 10 Million seller is going to sway more people than a 2 Million will.
