Beat in sales, possible but at this point highly unlikely.
Take out, virtually impossible unless Sony does absolutely everything wrong from here on out and I don't just mean with the PS4. You're not taking Nintendo out in a single generation, i don't think it's possible. They are an incredibly conservative company and they have enough money in the bank to comfortably ride out several entirely failed home console generations.
This is ignoring the fact that MS is getting almost universally bad press at the moment with the exception of relatively die-hard fans. If i was a betting man I would say Sony is going to win the next generation fairly comfortably, how comfortably depends on how well Nintendo gets their act together in the next 18 months as I still think the WiiU has the potential to be a very popular second console. MS is going to have work very hard from here on out if they hope to see anything like the success of the 360 and I think they run significant risk of running a fairly distant third unless they take major steps to alter their current trajectory.
