In time, namely when MK8 comes out. It would only collect dust if I got it now. :L
EA must be making people happy, as why else would one buy their games or any game for that matter? Their games must be worth all the anti-consumer stuffs. Perhaps having online multiplayer is part of the reason for this lol! Also, if Nintendo really only cared about sales, they'd do away with local multiplayer all together and go with online MP only. That way, if people want to play together, they'd have to buy their own systems and games. Thankfully, Nintendo cares about more than just sales, and knows that quality games will give you more sales.
I did say I'd get the game, but that was before I knew about it's lack of online. Now it's much less likely I'll get it, as I said somewhere on this thread. That slim chance of getting it comes from me holding out until my situation changes, a.k.a. I have people to play it with. If there's no one I'd wanna play it with, then I'll probably never get around to getting this game.
