Dead Rising 1 was the reason why I purchased an Xbox. This does indeed not look like a DR game from the initial gameplay video.
If its going to go down the more gritty route (which I am fine with), I don't think they should have a character as a mechanic who can call in airstrikes, just seems so out of place...lol (perhaps thats the comedy they were going for).
In terms of zombie numbers, it was mightily impressive, just a shame they will keep respawning probably :(
