Consumers are crowd controlling? Certainly not the ones interested in X1 lol

Personally, I have no interest in convincing anyone to buy the X1. That's not my job, I don't work for MS. I will buy the system because I personally like what MS is doing. Anyone who feels differently, that's their own opinion, and that's ok too. I am however pretty offended by the fact that there seem to be so many people online lately who feel they need to talk me out of my own purchase decisions like I'm supporting the downfall of gaming and all that nonsense.

I think its because over the last few years people have started to become very jaded with the games industry and in particular DRM... because ultimately its those people who spend the money that get the most trouble from it, and the pirates get away with having an easier time. The start of the big issue was Diablo (single player game getting multiplayer lag) and then SimCity (slow/unable to access). So don't think this is just a XBoxOne issue, it's not... but the issue now is that when its on PC, people can vent to the games publisher - hey this is crap, ain't buying your games again. You don't see anyone complaining to dell etc. The issue really is that MS is pushing this forward because its their hardware, and i think that is making people very angry when they were already pretty angry before that.

I have no intention of talking anyone out of any purchase, people make their own bed and have to sleep in it... thats not my problem :) - But I think there is *alot* of anger at DRM at the moment.

I just hope that games on the MS platform don't have "licensing" or "activation" issues at launch, otherwise the crap is going to hit the fan.
