I don't realy get your point
you say it is good , that for every game I buy I get a digital copy but in reality I only get a digital copy and disc that is worth nothing...
if there is a problem with the servers I can't play no matter if I buy the digital or the disc version
and let's be honest there are always problems with servers. just look at sim city or WoW login servers, even steam was fucked up in the beginning
if my connection for any reason is down I can not play, to be honest that doesn't happen really often for me but when it does I usually pass the time with playing games...
on sony side if I choose to buy the digital copy it is linked to my account too , I can play it offline or I buy the disc version
I have all the options what I want to do
sure there is also the possibility that they shut down the ps+ service but I kinda have to count on that to happen with a service but that's just the same with xboxone, the whole console is more a service now
saying that used game sales are the reason why comapnies get shut down is just stupid
they get shut down because of stupid business decisions and stupid business models
there is no other industry I can think of that tries to chip in on used sales
all in all I got to say that their press conference would have been pretty good if it wasn't for all that drm bullshit
and in the end it will probably half ass bad as people imagine it to be but it sure isn't futur proofing or taking a step forward
