Its too early to tell, i dont think its impossible for companies to keep some servers for old games, after all nintendo has vc, sony sells ps1/2 classics, maybe microsoft will give the option to xbone two(or whatever is called) to buy old xbox/360/one games but those who already have some games synced to their account will dl for free.
And if we are talking about multiplayer servers, BC or not they will die someday.
