Iirc Sony said games are installed when you play them. The disc seems to be only needed to check for existance.

Sony never said that entire games would need to be installed......

Like many of the PS3 games, PS4 games may not need that.

i think they said that the game installs while you play it. Nobody wants to run a game off disc anymore, it is just too slow.
