Yeah, if you are looking to be an approved MS reseller, you might consider not saying anything negative about the XboxOne, if you are a small retailer, MS probably may not give a crap about you, and if it was my business, i would then just push PS4.
It all depends on their policy, and that is where they have screwed up, they should have had this all sorted long ago. If you are retail, you might be in limbo right now with no idea what is going to happen and how much it might cost you. This is indeed not very helpful.
