Nintendo: ‘We just don’t care too much about what other companies are doing’

I feel like Nintendo is stuck in a terrible limbo right now. They've got the same "we do what we want" attitude that has granted them so much success in the past, but at the same time they're just so out of touch with what their die hard fans actually want. They're trying to keep the casual market, which is larger but doesn't care as much about games, and that's negatively affecting the games that they're supposed to be making for the core audience. There's no creativity, there's no ingenuity anymore--they're just stuck in this weird in-between limbo where they can't please anybody.
