To be fair - the demo only contains 3 items. We don't know what the final item roster will be.

Actually the demo contains more than that, and there's more we know for sure will be in the final game. I posted a full list in the official MK8 thread. |
Mushrooms, Bananas, Fireflowers...Oh right, shells. This still leaves like 10+ items slots open (compared to the last few MK's)

Did you look at the list I posted? There certainly isn't room for +10 items lol. I don't think we'll have any more than three new items, just like in MK7.
