Why do people play steam? Why do people  need to conenct onlien to play games on steam?  Why is steam really popular? Is the way of teh future and irts boudn to happen  .  Sharing gaems to friends hwo would never pay a diem and repa the benefits of finishing the SP and multiplayer is worng and piracy. Whats teh difference in waitign  for a new game to drop in price then buyign teh second hand game. As you gusy buy it because its cheaper right? Why ot wait for ne game to drop in price.Same concept right .

For starters... You don't HAVE to connect to Steam to play games, it has a perfectly usable offline mode, when I moved house I decided not to get the Internet connected for a few months untill everything was settled and sorted out financially.

Plus, not sure on the US of A, but we are legally allowed to circumvent DRM, that's seriously easy to do on the PC, consoles? Not so much.

No yo ushouldn't have to buy it but your nrother should havehis own account and buy his own game. Wgat you are doing by allowign taht person to never buy game adn rely on you to share it ,, is poracy because every game taht person finishess for free is one less sale adn profit to teh developers who worked hard for it. Look at witcher 2 and how many times it got pirated. It got pirated more times then actual copies sold.  Imagine how many people woul dhave done that by sharing to their friends. Also do n't you know you  neverowned teh game when you buy it. You just pay fpor the license to play th egame .

No. I shouldn't have to re-buy it.
And if that's Piracy... Then so is singing a song in the shower, letting someone borrow your car, someone else sitting down and watching a movie with you.

As for the Witcher 2 and Piracy... It's common knowledge the PC is rife with Piracy, developers and publishers still make Billions.
Problem is though, Publishers and Developers need to wake up and realise they need to give people incentive not to pirate, not just force DRM down our necks which does absolutely nothing except annoy the legitimate purchasers.
Do you really think pirates have to deal with DRM? Nope. Only legal buyers and the DRM will be circumvented on the PC.

Microsoft is adding DRM for the sake of annoying it's legitimate customers, if people are going to mod and pirate games, they are going to do it regardless of a 24 hour check in or not, they will just disable that functionality.
