Man MS is just the paragon of honesty in comparison. Every console manufacturer denies price cuts before they happen, that is just standard practice. Please offer a link to your claim that Sony said their online of their Home service will "probably" become a pay service. The fact remains is that Sony is the only one of the three who has yet to outline a plan for paying for online services. Plain and simple. Actions speak louder than words. I think Sony has done a good job of listening to its fans. They dropped the price, they stepped up their online service with regular updates and expanded content, and they add updates to the firmware that gives fans what they asked for. Seriously dude, why all the Sony hate? Did they kill your parents or something? |
LOL. The reason why Sony (and anyone else for that matter), can get away from talking outright BS, is because of people forget. When PSN was introduced, Sony stated that charging for online was optional for publishers. I can't remember word by word how it was announced, but i'd take that as Sony isn't going to charge for online, but 3rd parties can if they want to. Which apparently is pretty similar to what Nintendo stated about pay to play. And as what it comes to charging for Home, i don't think so. It would mean less users, which would mean less premium content sold and less money from advertisements. Of course, if there's not enough users for Home, there still is a possibility Sony starts to charge from it, but even if it would make a small loss, keeping Home free to use, would still help the console sales.
