They can act as 3D tech demos to show your friends. I showcase the 3D ability of the system with the Zelda and Starfox puzzles - I even got 2 friends to buy a 3DS from that initial wow factor

I use 3D Classics: Excitebike as a tech demo.

You'd be surprised at how effective it is.
