MS NEVER bans people for playing games early when a retailer breaks a streetdate. I played every freaking Halo, Gears, Fable and basically every other game I preorder early. I know the retailer and we play online together. If you are playing online (early) MS checks if your copy is pirated illegally. If you did, you are banned. If your copy is legit - have fun. They said this dozens of times. And no, when you are banned (which is a REEEAAAALLLLYYY small part of the users) you can still connect online to check in. You can still play your games. You are just banned from the XBL Gold service, so no multiplayer and no apps for you. |
Okay, I made a mistake about people getting banned for going online with early copies (Although it HAS happend!). As for the rest of it, I am going by what I read on their official ToS. I saw it and figured this was a legitimate question that could spark some forum activity and doesn't need responses like yours.
Spreading FUD? Please, show me where.
Want to make one hell of an accusation, be ready to back it up pal.
