I think it is note worthy that the sentiment amongst publishers (?and developers) that DRM is necessary to save the industry has been proven wrong due to the overwhelming lack of support the X1 has with customers... Effectively DRM would do more harm than good. However, we should be able to gauge this better after Q4 sales

To be honest we do still buy the games with or with online passes and other DRM methods.. Sim City sold what.. like 1.5 million? the customers haven't really proved we don't like DRM cause our wallets speak louder then our words.. even iTunes has DRM yet it became a mega succes.. but like you said it will take some time to see if this is going to change console gaming forever.. I don't think after Q4 but after a year or 2.. With the release of some bigger games like Halo 5.. are people really not going to buy it because of this.. personally I doubt it..
