I used to play where I slept, yes. Generally, if you have a completely dark room and a blue light somewhere, it is disturbing.

I have my router in my room which has a series of bright flashing blue lights and my PC has some bright blue leds in its top fan. But the PC and PS4 will be off, so the light doesn't matter surely?

It depends - I was especially talking about blue-lights for standby-mode :) But sure, if they are "off" it wouldn't disturb anyone :D
