This controller does sound really good, but what I want to know is can I use it on my PC?

Oh yes, good point! What are the connectors? Is there a micro-usb-connector?

It is more a question of drivers. Connecting via wi-fi direct might be a slight challenge for me as I don't have wi-fi on my PC, but I am 90% sure they have said it connects via USB to the console for charging. What else could it connect to?

Let's not forget that you can't really use the PS3 controller with a PC despite its connections. I am not going to spend ~£50 to upgrade my current PC controller, which is a wired 360 controller I got for £15, if it doesn't work as seamlessly as it currently does

Wifi-Direct means especially you need 802.11ac on your pc if you want to connect wireless but I think MS will give you an adapter like they did with 360-controller.  MS always made good peripherals for PC and I don't think the controller is limited to Xbone.

The thing with the PS3-controller on PC, well... It is sad they don't offer an easy solution for PC. They could sell thousands of controllers on PC, just like MS does - they won't lose any gamers for PC if they would do so. But I read there are solutions to make it work with PC, although I can't imagine why someone would prefer it over the 360-controller :)
