| DarkD said: My problem is that I have 3 IP addresses which are all being used right now by computers. To hook up an XBone I need to unhook a computer (we use all three of them almost daily) and then reset my modem to give the XBone a connection. I already have 25Mbps connection with 3 IP addresses, but if I want more IPs I have to pay more. 3 IPs is the limit for my current package.... I could hook up a router, but those things are a pain in the ass to game with. I still don't know how to properly set up port forwarding, I know which ports and ranges I need to open, but actually filling out the table is weird. It's usually trial and error for an hour before I get it working. |
Wait, what? Do you know of a thing called "NAT"? Get yourself a cheap router that handles one of your public IPs and you are done. Do you have a link for your product? And no, this is not a pain in the ass to game with. Really, what happens to you if you get a smartphone or a tablet? And also, there are routers which are very easy to set-up (in my opinion).
