A) It's not a fucking tablet. A tablet is a device whose ONLY input method is touch screen. That is NOT what the GamePad is, at all.
B) It's not stupid, you just don't like it/don't understand it/have never even held it/whatever.
C) It's a controller with ALL the buttons a PS or Xbox controller has. WITH a huge touch screen/second screen, off-tv play (which is awesome), 8-axis motion functionality, NFC reading functionality, a camera, etc. etc. etc. What's so stupid about that? It's the swiss army knife of controllers, and it's pretty fuckin' awesome.
D) They don't need to drop the price that low. Drop it $50 to $300 for the deluxe model for the holidays, and people will buy it. Advertise the hell out of it.
I just don't get the negativity of some. It's a fine system, and it will do well. People just need to calm down and let things play out. There's no guarantee that PS4 is going to kick everyone's ass out of the gate either.
