I asked for something new, whether in the form of a new IP or innovations to an old one. They somewhat delivered on Mario Kart, but I was so hyped for the new Mario platformer that it's unveiling...unhinged me. Besides, we've already seen Project X(although it does look even more awesome here) |
I don't think four-player co-op has been done in a 3D Mario game before, so there's that.

I guess, but that's not really a game changing element like the Sunshines Supersoaker and Galaxy's gravity, or even Mario 64's 3D. Don't get me wrong, the game looks okay(definitely better than NSMBU), but it's a disappointment as Mario's first 3D title on Nintendo's brand new system. From the looks of things, it doesn't even have the tight jump physics from Mario's other 3D titles, but rather the floatiness of NSMB and SM3DLand.

Ugh. I would rather Nintendo play it safe than try out any other ideas like FLUDD. Not that I hated Sunshine. I would just prefer not to go down that route again.
As for the jump physics, that varies from game to game. Each character in this entry has his or her own distinct jump, so I'm not very concerned about that.

Heh, I loved everything about Sunshine, including FLUDD(Was it really called that? It's been so long.) And yeah, it is a bit hard to comment on the jump physics when there are so many characters and I have yet to play the game. Guess I'll have to try it at my Bestbuy, if they have it.
