Metroid Prime 3 failed to reach the success of the first MP and Other M didn`t do any better to achieve that goal.
No matter how much we fans like it and praise it, at the end of the day, the series was never a priority for Nintendo - or at least isn´t anymore.
Donkey Kong games have a better chance to sell more consoles - which is what Nintendo needs right now.
Do i believe they are holding something back? I do. The question is how far that game is in development: Tropical Freeze comes out this year so at least something has to be in the pipeline.
Seeing as it has been 3 years since DKCR, they can`t be taking that much time to develop a sequel. So there`s the chance of there being something far in development.
