they wish Nintendo to fail but they cant say this openly, so they invented nonsense like Nintendo to go 3rd party or the Nintendo of old was better and other nonsense (it was not, the Sega was then platform of choice Nintendo was slow, kiddy not mature enough etc.), but they're too transparent.
For them the demise of Nintendo as major force in gaming (as platform holder) is ultimate victory.
Nintendo put to shame anyone in the west in mid of 80's the entire western gaming industry was nothing but incompetent joke and remain so until Playstation era.
Look at sales of western 3rd party games on Nintendo platforms since NES and SNES they truly failed to compete with them.
