As for dynamic lighting, I'll take a look at some more screenshots for comparision, but X does have quite good shadows. It doesn't appear that every object in Red Dead has a shadow, even, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. Or it could be that since X's foliage isn't as sparse, it's easier to hide a lack of a shadow.

You're wasting your time trying to reason with him. You could get a code breakdown of both games showing definitively that X is technically more advanced, and he'd still deny it. His whole purpose for being on this site is to bash Nintendo and everything about Nintendo.


But I haven't even played the "Red Dead Redemption has only a fraction of X's draw distance" card yet! Or the "X's animated, plentiful grass sprites still beats RDR's comparatively static, aplha textured ones!"

And I'm not even talking about the terrain generation. The only other game I've seen that compares is the techincally astounding Just Cause 2.
