Coming up with a plan and content for Nintendo E3's has to be the easiest job in the world.
Predicting Nintendo s message at E3's has to be the 2nd easiest job in the world.
Predicting when Nintendo games will be released for play has to be the most difficult job in the world.
I have not even followed gaming for more than a year or 2 but how hard is it to predict that Nintendo is working on a Zelda game, a Mario game, a Donkey Kong game, maybe a Metroid game and so on.......
they are probably always working on games containing their big name characters/themes so it is not a stretch for them to announce as much- of course actually giving release dates or even committing to a specific console generation is a different story. Nintendo could come out tomorrow and announce they are working on every game that it s followers would like see and it would probably be true- but it does not do much good for people who bought a Wii U last year (or are considering buying a wii u now) if you don t know when or if these games will be released.
Nintendo was touting games last November and December that were due out w in 1-4 months, some which already had release dates and some of those games are STILL not released. So for Ninty to announce a game that is due "sometime in 2014" is like not announcing it at all IMO- it means nothing- I loved Xenoblade and think the trailers for X look great- but it is due in 2014 - the Wii U could be gone by then as far as we know- and 2014 could just as easily be 2015 or who knows when - same w all the 2014 games that have been announced- they announced a Wii U Zelda game a year+/- back but did not even mention it today-
Nintendo has not exactly earned trust behind their words IMO so could have announced 100 games today but if they don t have release dates in 2013 then it does not mean much
