Nintendo hardly showed anything new AT ALL; have they run out of ideas? (Rant)

No need to run around the fact..it is what it is. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if ND's other team is NOT working on a new Uncharted. So in summary, issue is not recreating or revisiting same ideas or old Ips....it's the focus on not creating new experiences through new IPs. 

Heck I don't think you can say Ubisoft is in the same boat either. Every year they bring some new exciting new IPs to E3. Good on them 

 

@FOX: Yeah I think that indeed is a problem in a business pov as well. I think they understand it tho cuz Shuhei addressed it a while back in an interview. I think cutting down the number of teams they had and making the current ones bigger is one approach they are using. Number of games may decrease but the quality will likely increase too.

@milkyjoe: A new IP from a dev like ND is exciting. Laugh all you want but TLOU had more people excited than anything Nintendo showed today. For good reason too. ha indeed

Are you feeling attacked? Because it seems like it, you're starting to resort to name calling. Maybe you should work on that. And maybe you should take a look at your own argument, too. It's quite ridiculous as my argument is completely neutural.

If you are blind to the fact that every developer doesn't make sequels (which I'm pretty sure is what we're talking about here...), then I don't what to tell you, MUGEN.

But before you go too far, I'll let you know that I wasn't trying to attack you and your thoughts. I was just giving you the truth about how the industry works. Everyone releases "nothing new" (as the title of this thread would put it), there's nothing wrong with that. It works.

And no i'm not feeling attacked. Don't see why I should be either. Your argument isn't neutral...it's an argument that is useless as it's not the point we were discussing

If you are blind to the fact that that's NOT the issue we are talking about here...then I have not sure what to tell you either NintendoPie. 

My point is simple. Not every company is in the same boat as Nintendo when it comes to making their main dev teams work on New IPs in new Settings etc. Hence people are not as excited by Nintendo's showing this year. Simple really. 

But yeah I think I'm done with you :) I Have seen enough of your arguing methods to know this won't make a difference
