The DS provides a great handheld experience, unfortunately it's just not for me.  The PSP is my machine and like others have said.  This is "The Year of the PSP" IMHO.  This is the year that gamers will sit up and take notice of PSP with it's list of games over the next 12 months.  You may very well find a large section of non PSP gamers deciding, the time in now to pick a cheap PSP and get some of the great releases coming out this year only for the PSP.

By the way, I'm not dissing the DS, they've done very well with the DS, but it's about time the PSP got some recognition for its great diverse range of games and very promising title for the year as well.

Anyway back on topic.  Microsoft I think, will release a handheld, but they will be stupid to do it.  They are not doing well enough in the home console market to warrant them a dabble in the handheld market.  Sony who have done very well in the home console market are trying and are doing well, but they simply cannot compete with Nintendo in the market...they've been there for years and know exactly what they are doing.
