Folks, DRM is not going away. Despite what you think or feel, even the current PS3 and Xbox 360 use DRM.
Analysts have been predicting that both the previous generation (Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii) and this current generation (Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U) would be the last generation to use media, and the industry is trending that way. PC gaming is largely digital with a small amount of disc-based gaming.
Rather than fight it, voice opposition to it, people should be communicating how they want an all digital world to work for them. Because whether you like it or not, it's coming.
