$499 is best if Sony is smart. The hardcore will still buy and non-hardcore dont buy consoles at alunch anyway. Why take the loss if profit is the ultimate goal? Sometimes low prices can backfire....it made some people think the GC was junk when it was more powerful than the ps2.
Underpricing will create the idea that the ps4 is less powerful except they can prove day 1 with games that it can indeed best the xbox in fidelity
