Honestly... the games you listed do not appeal to me in the same way the DS games dont appeal to you. All the GTA games were garbage aimed at young boys in high school (since you are making the adult vs kids argument). I do not know anyone over the age of 21 who even owns a GTA game and we all seem to agree that after seeing it play for about 20 minutes, its is a kids game. They are non-the-less very popular games. I am not too thrilled about DS games either, but when I go through the game lists the DS definitly has more good games in my opinion <- and ya this is just an opinion like yours. Honestly, I really wanted a PSP but it looks a bit anemic in the game library section. I decided I would wait on handhelds altogether and see if I cant get some kind of mini-PC which will be able to play all the portable games anyway (since I wasnt impressed with either).
Oh, I think that the PSP is succesfull. It just isnt as succesfull as the DS but it is definitly a profitable console.
