A low middle american will have problems keeping up with a big library of games, being new, used, rent, whatever. The target demographic of video games is the middle class and up, not poor people. I think what he meant by it is that people and families that are "well off" dont usually spend money on the video game industry, not meaning they dont play games it's just that the majority of the money that they spend is on more typical things like vacations, new cars, a new house maybe (which is smart btw). But as someone like me a who is a student and works cant afford those things and turns to video games for their expence and relaxation (same with younger people that really only have an allowence for money). I just believe it is a cheaper form of expences then what i have mentioned, also i dont think a lot of hobby's are cheap, I mean anything can be really expensive u put enough money into it, but that's why there hobby's :P
