From where I am standing, are they not EXACTLY the same?

Both companies allow publishers to deny the right to resell games.  Both companies allow publishers to charge those who purchase used games an additional fee.  Both companies will not do this for their first party games.

Exactly the same? You need to provide proof that Sony is doing anything more than online pass codes. Which you can't. It's sheer speculation on your part or flawed logic. All Sony has said is you can play used games, it wont require an internet connection, and if publishers want to make a system that requires an online registration (key codes AKA online pass) they can. I don't see how you can come to your conclusions with the information provided. Especially since it's obvious there is no DRM uniformly incorporated into the system unlike MS... so how could they possible enforce it?
