1- Companies have the numbers for PC and 360 illegal downloads, from the beginning to the end of the gen. They can see if DRM reduces the number of downloads, which is the point I'm trying to make. 2- And how that changes Sony's situation? Like I said earlier, it's not like Sony will go to EA and say "Don't put Mass Effect 4 on the PS4 because it has DRM". Microsoft might have started everything (although I would like actual proof), but Sony follow suit. Sony didn't stopped 3rd parties (they did online passes themselves) and that won't change now. If what you said is true that MS started all those things, then yes, it will make MS the worst, but it doesn't make Sony any better if they do the same. |
Sony has no DRM on the PS4, Period which Yoshida has already said but that answer is not good enough for you guys. If the DRM is implemented it will be initiated by third parties. As I said third parties have been prepping for this via online clients when you load your games into your Xbox, Wii U, PS3 or PC.
What Sony needs to do is point out exactly how third party DRM will work on their console which is obvious by now that it would be an online client because if Sony doesnt lockdown the console they must do it themselves. Some people just want Sony to be as bad as MS no matter what they say.
