3D glasses were, are and always will be a horrible idea. It's a gimmick and little else. Until HDTVs start coming out with 3D glass technology, the whole 3D thing is just a niche market for IMAX theaters.

They already have HDTV's with 3D compatibility. I should know, I have one hehe. Playing Sonic Generations in 3D on it is great! I love getting Sonic really close to the camera and then turn him around with his back facing the screen. It really looks like his spikes are jutting out at you! ^_^ |

I thought you just ment TVs with 3D, but yeah they probably have those, though they're not mainstream as they still have the sweet spot issue. |
Yeah exactly. I think that until that technology is invented and proven, 3D won't become mainstream. Most people don't like the idea of wearing 3d glasses, which is why it didn't take off in generations before. 3D movies on tv with glasses are an ooooolllld concept that few people want.

Surely 3D movies and 3DTVs must be having some sort of success. I wouldn't know where to look to find the sales though.
