Speculation, I say he did become visible as soon as he poked out of the window. You shouldn't be marked like that or camping will be very popular in this game.

You're actually confusing me now. At first, you said your concern was with nametags showing through barriers. Now, you have a concern with nametags showing even when the player is clearly visible poking his head through Windows. Maybe you dislike nametags altogether.
Camping isn't going to make sense in this game because of the large player health and the low ammunition. Not that nametags have ever been the cause of camping. A game can have a radar locating every player on the map, but that doesn't necessarily lead to camping (plenty of games have done it before, actually). What dictates camping are the actual game mechanics. |
Yes, I dislike nametags alltogether, I already made that clear in my very first comment. The large player health and scarce ammo combined with the fact that the melee attacks seem to be pretty effective even promote camping further, additionally to the nametags showing when you move between cover.

huh? Camping generally consists of staying in cover, popping up for a very short time and getting a numerous, easy, and quick kills. This doesn't work with large player health since it prevents you from killing people too easily or too quickly. The large player health gives people a chance to escape camping; whereas low player health encourages camping since running into the battlefield almost always results in instant death. Low ammo means that even if someone does camp, they wouldn't be able to do it a lot, forcing them to melee and/or increasing their shot efficiency by getting closer for more damaging/accurate shots. I'm not even sure how effective melee can even be associated with camping. |
The video clearly shows something very different. Melee-ing seems to be by far the most effective method to kill people quickly.
