Glasses free 3D uses a parallax screen which aims the light in certain directions. 3D glasses do not use this style of 3D. 2. 3D glasses are expensive and you would have to carry them around with you. 3. Unless you're one of those people who move around all the time, glasses free 3D isn't a problem. If it is, you can turn it down to reduce image crossover, or turn 3D off. |
1. If the 3DS were to use glasses, I'm sure they would use the right 3D method that works with them.
2. They would come with the system. People already carry stuff around with them, 3DS included.
3. I'm already doing that as said a few times already.
It still doesn't fix the problem being that I want to use the 3D.

1. You can't have both, it is one or the other, they are two different styles of 3D. 2. People already carry stuff, true. A typical person who carries a 3DS will already have a phone in one and their 3DS in the other. Putting the glasses in either of those pockets is just bulking up your pockets even further, there might not even be space. Plus they'd be expensive to replace and would probably get scratched or broken while being carried in a pocket. |
Why can't you have both? We have 3D and non 3D already so I don't think it'd be difficult to add another similar viewing method. For instance, I believe Youtube has multiple 3D options. There could be a switch on the left side of the 3DS that changes between the two types of 3D. Also, as explained before, there are hard cases for glasses, people usually carry bags of some sort with them, the 3DS/your phone/etc. can also get broken, and if it's really an issue to carry them, the glasses can be left at home.
