I just wish hard figures could be produced to compliment these facts. Why are figures never presented? Without them spin can turn a handful of orders into a huge record.

I expect US pre-orders to be enormous. More prove to MS that they should stick to their guns with DRM. They should even increase the live subscription fee.

These kind of stores will never release pre-order numbers, just because it would be benefitial to their competitors - as they could figure out how well they are doing compared to the people who released the numbers and come up with a strategy (or not) to compete against them.

One thing is certain though, releasing this information gets the stores into the press and makes people consider pre-ordering with them. It's a good/free marketing technique.... pretty smart really.
