He deserves to be punished for those terrible lyrics, but 20 years in prison seems rather harsh.

Seriously though, I cannot see his imprisonment being justified. The mere fact that its a song should be enough to discredit any charges. I mean, I've heard some rap songs which were much worse. Some even made direct threats, saying "I will kill you", etc.

An extensive investigation could be justified but 20 years for a rap song glorifying murder (which is pretty common) is definitely excessive. Hope he makes it out.
