That was supposed to be taken as a joke... SPM wasn't bad either, it just wasn't good. There, that makes perfect sense.

I think the main thing that people don't seem to get is that maybe, just maybe, Nintendo wanted to take the Paper Mario series in a different direction. And that's a mission they obviously succeded in. Maybe this is the samething that happened to Pokemon; early adopters of the series just can't understand why the series had to change, whilst the "newer" adopters enjoy the change.
