I love both series, but Super Paper Mario left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since TTYD is one of my favorite games of all time. Haven't played Stickers Stars yet, but I keep hearing that it's not really all that great. I love all 3 M&L games, with Partners in Time being the weakest one (but still great).
But for me TTYD tops both the first and the third M&L games, so I like Paper Mario more. Althogh that might change with Dream Team.
