Mark Cerny: PS4 can be enjoyed without an Internet connection at all

Err.. but isn't it nice to have the option to play on a something which doesn't require an internet connection?

Also, I was playing Phantasy Star online and Quake 3 on Dreamcast back in the day so.. it did have online play (albeit a rather slow and crappy one) oO

yes it's better if a console doesn't need it at all but it would change nothing for me so i am not super excited now just because ps4 doesn't need that because i will use my ps4 with internet.
