Perhaps. I don't visit console-specific sites, so it may be that Xbox enthusiast forums are aflame with rage much in the way that if you are on a generic political forum everyone tends marches in lockstep like mindless partisans but if you head over to Democratic Underground, you'll see Obama being torn a new one.
All I can say is - and yes, this is a generalization because it is impossible to speak of groups of people without generalizing - the vibe I'm getting from the Xbox community at large is one of apathy and more than a little Stockholm syndrome.
