500 years ago STD's didn't exist. To my knowledge most STD's are just virus other species carry, but are immune to. We aquired it by having sex with them Syphilis came about because someone had sex with a Camel. HIV originates from SIV, and three of the main beliefs about how humans got it is by eating, and banging monkeys, and injecting monkey blood to cure diseases. The rest I dunno about, I imaging herpies has been around for a while though. |
Hippocrates in ancient Greece described STDs. The only newer ones are HIV which is 35 to 100 years old, and Syphillis which was introduced in the early age of exploration, but may have also existed in some form during Roman times where an STD with similar symptoms was described. Also, some form of HIV or something may have existed in Europe and Asia thousands of years ago due to a certain percentage of the population who were naturally immune to it before exposure to the current outbreak.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
