Is it even up for debate? Zelda is one of the defining series in the video-game industry, it created a whole genre and inspired a whole generation of gamers, developers and common people alike (even non-gamers know the name Zelda and what's it about).
Fable is a video-game series that's currently successful, market-wise, but that doesn't really have anything to distinguish it amongst similar selling series, let alone anything remotely close to the brand power that Legend of Zelda has.
