Steams 50 Million users dont complain, because the majority of games bought on Steam are bought in sales. Theyre bought for $5-$10. AAA games are bought for bargain prices a few Months after release. Theyre not $60 and you dont have to pay a $50 per Year sub fee to play them online.

They see Steam for what it is - a fantastic service that doesnt screw the consumer.

you missed the fact that you don't have to buy a 500 or so euros console to have steam on it, you don't need to buy access to the steam service, it's a completely free download for anyone who already owns a PC. Xboxone is not a free service downloadable to a PC or other system... it's a massive investment that a new console has always been but now it is coming without one of the biggest perks consoles always had over PCs.
