Now, why the hell couldn't Nintendo have done that?  That annoys me.

Personally, I plan to look at the Wii U eventually as a second console.  I like the idea of the gamepad (I need to try it first, though) and I like that Nintendo seems to be going for a tiny bit more variety.  They make more RPGs and I'll definitely consider the Wii U, especially since I didn't have a Wii.  A price-cut would help a lot, too.
