Guerilla is making two games. One is a new IP. They can't have only new IPs at launch...they will have a mixture of both, as it always is with new consoles. Quantum is from Remedy, so chances are it won't be a hit. Are we discussing sales or quality here? Because you seem to switch between the two when it fits your argument better. Also, Forza is a declining franchise too by your definition. Went from 5.37m to 3.96m (Forza 4). And it gets worse if you look at the spin-off, but I won't since it's a spin-off. |
Remedy made two hits with Max Payne 1&2
Sam Lake recently said Alan Wake had sold 3 million, so it's done pretty well, and it's noteworthy that the game was pirated over a million times the year it released as well. It's not like people didn't want to play it. I think it's quality is unquestionable.
Forza 4 is behind 3 in sales, but it's also been on the market for 2 years less, and 3 has had extensive bundeling. I wouldn't say there's much decline, if any when you take those factors into account. Horizon obviously is a different story.
