Well as for 99% of people, it is a new IP cause no one has heard of it.
As for the 1% of people they will see it as an old franchise they loved being brought back to life, so they will be happy.
As for anyone anti-Nintendo though they will scream. Nintendo has no new IP's, they just reuse old IP's, they are not creative, ect. I mean they dissed the Kid Icarus game as an old game, cause it was on like the NES. They probably had never heard of Pit before Smash bros, but as soon as they found out it was not a NEW IP, then its back to dissing on Nintendo for having no new ideas.
